Born in Inverness, Scotland, Fraser Gartshore now lives and works in Bonn, Germany.
Fraser is one of Europe's few remaining jazz pianists specialising in the "older schools" of playing, such as Swing, Stride and Boogie. He is conductor of the Bonn University Jazz Choir and the city's Bonn English Singers and runs his own band, The Fraser Gartshore Trio. Since August 2007, Fraser is the pianist of Rod Mason & His Hot Five. As an organist, Fraser is equally at home playing classical or theatre organ.
